The transparent sapphire crystal case back showcases the finely finished automatic movement.

Considered one of watchmaking’s most sophisticated complications, the perpetual calendar in this Senator Excellence model accurately displays the date, day of the week, and leap year until 2100. Glashütte Original infuses a contemporary touch into this tradition-steeped complication.

On the grey galvanized dial, the Panorama Date, weekday, and month windows are subtly framed. Leap years are indicated in a separate display below 12 o’clock. The Roman numerals in solid gold are coated in blue, and the steel hour and minute hands are traditionally blued, creating a classically elegant face with contrasts and visual depth.

The in-house Calibre 36-12 features an oscillating system with an antimagnetic silicon hairspring, regulated by 4 screws. The optimized spring barrel provides a 100-hour power reserve at a frequency of 4 hertz. As with all Senator Excellence models, this exquisite mechanical timepiece is marked with a special “Q” engraving symbolizing a superior quality standard.
